A Study on the Rapture
As in other mysteries, Paul speaks to the Rapture, a coined term, that is not accepted by many in denominational churches. My faith is based on Cor. 15:1-4 and this book the Bible “Word of God”, not any denominational doctrines. I have found the denominations pick and choose what the bible says to maintain longevity. And I might say much like politicians today.
To grow your faith, read and study all God’s word, keeping in context the who, what, when, where, and why it was written. Reading verses, even chapters, you miss the tone, reason, and why, God wrote these words to you. At the start, one must take the words by faith. But over time the truth will appear clearly as you develop a top-down approach. For the longest time, I read the Old Testament verses and got very little out of them. Ten years ago I started studying the bible with a different approach. Top-down. This is a book about a sovereign God wanting a relationship with his creation. Sin blocked that relationship. And with that sin Man became very deceitful and wicked. The Bible “Word of God” is Christ reaching out to man. First to man, then to the Jewish people, to the Gentiles (all other nations), ending with the Gentile and Jewish nation in a world without sin. The Rapture, the future Tribulation, and the 1000-year reign of Christ must be taken by faith. A timeline is an excellent way to summarize God’s Plan.
