God, Country, and Strength

My day of Rest is Sunday

In this world, after 6 days, you need a day of rest. For many, it is Sunday these days. A focused day on our God. Throughout the Bible, we have a mention of a Day of Rest.

Gen 2:2

And on the seventh day, God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Gen 2:3

And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

 Exo 16:30

So the people rested on the seventh day.

Exo 31:17

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.

Luk 23:56

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

A search on rest and rest at BLB is an interesting topic. On this day, we can be thankful for Our Supreme Court ruling twice to return to what I call Back to Basics. I never thought it would happen in my life. Both have created freedoms that we had lost in many places in America and both create a new challenge of keeping those freedoms.

In the case of Roe V Wade out the window will mean we in each state must participate in our government to hold our views and values. God has given America a reprieve as I see it. He has heard our cries as a nation, but now it is up to us to move on to Life for the unborn.

Of course, the other issue is overturning the right to carry rules. Another good thing for those who need it in this age of danger. Life is very precious! And for those that can now carry, I hope and pray God is with them to find another solution.
