A Study on the Rapture
As in other mysteries, Paul speaks to the Rapture, a coined term, that is not accepted by many in denominational churches. My faith is based on 1 Corinthians. 15:1-4 and this book the Bible “Word of God”, does not have any denominational doctrines. I have found the denominations pick and choose what the bible says to maintain longevity. And I might say much like politicians today.
To grow your faith, read and study all of God’s word, keeping in context the who, what, when, where, and why it was written. Reading verses, even chapters, you miss the tone, reason, and why, God wrote these words to you. At the start, one must take the words by faith. But over time the truth will appear clearly as you develop a top-down approach. For the longest time, I read the Old Testament verses and got very little out of them. Ten years ago I started studying the bible with a different approach. Top-down. This is a book about a sovereign God wanting a relationship with his creation. Sin blocked that relationship. And with that sin Man became very deceitful and wicked. The Bible’s “Word of God” is Christ reaching out to a man. First to the Jewish people, then to the Gentiles (all other nations), ending with the Gentiles and Jewish nation in a world without sin. The Rapture, the future Tribulation, and the 1000-year reign of Christ must be taken by faith. A timeline is an excellent way to summarize God’s Plan.

I Corinthians 15:51,52a
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We (Paul always includes himself with us, the believers) shall not all sleep (or die), but we shall all be changed (how?), In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,…”
I Corinthians 15:3,4
“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins… And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
I Thessalonians 4:15
“For this, we say unto you by the word of the Lord (the ascended Christ revealed this to Paul), that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (or go ahead of) them which are asleep.”
I Thessalonians 4:16
“For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
I Thessalonians 4:17
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them (the ones that have died) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
So when our government looks like a mess and sliding downhill fast Read God’s word. The Hope or mysteries spoken of by Paul in his epistles is a great insight as to what is happening today. The Rapture is just a part of that hope. First, we all must be Saved. Believe that Christ died for you and he lived among 500 people for a short time. Then Christ went to heaven and is waiting for that Rapture. This does require faith in what he did. That’s it nothing else. If you need to talk, send me a message.
